Wrapping gifts, let's get real

Oh the joy of gift wrapping! Early on in the process I find myself beautifully creasing the wrapping paper, curling my ribbon, selecting just the right gift tag and using the double stick tape on the inside to make the gift look just right. Then, reality settles in and I'm scrambling for whatever wrapping paper is near by and slap the remaining labels on the gifts... a my little pony label for the hubby sure, if it's what I have left! So now you know if your gift is Martha Stewart level wrapped then you were one of my lucky early wrapped "gift getters"...if ya happen to see multiple scraps of wrapping paper slapped on together it doesn't mean I love you any less, it just means I finally gave in to reality!  Oh and if you're still looking for some great eco-friendly gift ideas go here!

EWW into NEW! What to do if you have limescale or hard water build up!

I walked into her immaculate home as she apologized for the mess in her bathroom. Hard water and limescale build up hits the cleanest of homes! It happens.  As she shared how many products they had tried before, how toxic fumes filled her bathroom in her previous attempts I had begun spraying Descaler on her sink and shower door. We didn't have any vents on or windows open. We didn't need to! I explained how the Descaler is a plant-based enzyme cleaner. We chatted as I wiped her mirror down with the enviro cloth and window cloth.  After 10 minutes  I proceeded to grab my spirinett and gently scrubbed off the build up on both her sink and shower door. It came off like hot butter on a knife. I wiped everything off with the Enviro Cloth and dried it with the polishing cloth. Just like that the build up was gone and the luster was back!

Music to my eyes: A Tarnished Trumpet's transformation

I LOVE "Before and After" pics. I truly believe a pic is worth 1,000 words. I can tell you all day long how amazing our products are but, it's so awesome to just post a pic and let the results do the convincing. The cleaning paste is one of my favorite "cleaners". A little goes a long way and the marble flour makes my work so much easier! Anyways, I asked the Band Teacher if they had any instruments that needed to be cleaned. He pulled out this gnarly looking trumpet. It was COVERED in tarnish. He mentioned not having cleaned it in a couple of years. With his permission we tested a small, inconspicuous area. Once we saw it didn't scratch the surface I proceeded to gently clean the trumpet. I put a small amount of the cleaning paste on the Enviro cloth and with gentle circular motions I began to remove all the tarnish. I took a clean corner of the Enviro Cloth wiped off the paste and dried it with the polishing cloth. He mentioned how much time this saved him because the polish he normally uses takes a lot a longer. I handed him the cleaning paste, the enviro cloth and polishing cloth so he could finish the job. He came back about 15 minutes later with a sparkling instrument. I have to admit I was blown away by the results! Me encanta fotos que demuestran "antes y después". Realmente creo que una foto vale 1,000 palabras. Puedo decirle todo el día lo increíble que nuestros productos son, pero es tan impresionante publicar una foto y dejar que los resultados sean convincentes. La pasta de limpieza es uno de mis favoritos "limpiadores". Un poco va un largo camino y la harina de mármol hace mi trabajo mucho más fácil! De todos modos, le pregunté al profesor de banda si tenían algún instrumento que necesitaba ser limpiado. Sacó esta trompeta de aspecto gnarly. Estaba cubierto de manchas. Mencionó no haber limpiado en un par de años. Con su permiso probamos un área pequeña y discreta. Una vez que vimos que no arañó la superficie, procedí a limpiar suavemente la trompeta. Puse una pequeña cantidad de la pasta de limpieza en el Paño Enviro y con movimientos circulares suaves comencé a quitar todo el deslustre. Tomé una esquina limpia del Paño Enviro  para quitar la pasta y se secó con el Paño de Ventanas. El Maestro mencionó cuánto tiempo esto le salvó porque el pulimento que usa normalmente toma mucho más tiempo. Le entregué la pasta de limpieza, el Paño Enviro y el Paño de ventana para poder terminar el trabajo. Volvió unos 15 minutos más tarde con un instrumento brillante. Little round tub that extends the life of my husband and child!

If you're not familiar with the Norwex cleaning paste, allow me to introduce you to it. Let me preface this with the fact that I use water and the cloths MOST of the time. Once in a while something like , oh I don't know..."hair dye stains my bathroom counter"  and I know I need to grab a spirisponge and the paste to remove it! There was also that one time that paint was splattered on my Hard wood floors and yeah I was relieved to remove that as well!  What is in the cleaning paste?  There  are 3 active ingredients found in the Cleaning Paste which are : Coconut oil, marble flour  ( YES! marble flour) and natural soap.  It's nickname is "elbow grease in a jar".  It has earned it's nick name because that ground up marble flour turns a normally tough cleaning job into a piece of cake! I use the paste mostly on my glass top stove and a small amount in the tub. A little goes a long way and while I've had my little round container for about a year now, I've heard from other Consultants that it can last a few years! Money has always been tight for us, who isn't on a budget these days? It's been a year and half since we started cleaning with Norwex and I am amazed at how much money we have saved over the last 18 months! The average home in America spends around $500 a year on cleaning supplies! I feel like we spent that amount on paper towels alone to be honest! When I first started using the Norwex products I didn't really pay attention to how much we were saving until my husband commented on the drop in paper towel purchases. I am so thankful for all the money we are saving by replacing all those items for water! I wish I had found Norwex back when we had all the kiddos at home. It would have been helpful in stretching our dollars. Now, I have the joy in sharing with others what I wish I'd known back then! It is totally possible to replace all the items listed below for just water and microfiber products!!!

The 5-worded question that changed my life!

I can hardly believe I have been a Norwex Consultant for a year and a half!  Seems just like yesterday that I received an invitation to my friends FB Party.  I was asked " Have you heard of Norwex?" With that question it created a question within me..." Nor what??? That is what led me on the crazy new adventure of sharing Norwex with people. I didn't know then that I soon would be starting to grow a business that could fit around my life. I'm sure she had no idea how impactful that question would be to me. It is something I consider now when I share Norwex with people. When I pose the question usually there's a pause and you can sense that person reaching in their data bank only to respond with "no!". Ahh yes a Norwex newbie, I love it! Just last night I had the joy of introducing Norwex to a gentleman. I explained how the Basic Package could clean his beloved motorcyle, which he so affectionately named " J-Lo" by the way! I mean c'mon when a guy NAMES his motorcycle you know it's real! Anyways, he was surprised to hear me tell him he could clean his motorcycle without the use of soap. He spent 15 minutes "checking out" how the cloths cleaned against the dirt and grime.  He swooned as he saw the cleaning paste bring a shiny luster to his chrome! My name is NO...rwex gal!

Welcome to my very first post !  It's been rumbling around in my brain to create a simple blog about my Norwex journey, not just from the "business" side of it but, also from the "personal "what am I doing selling cleaning products?" side of it as well! I have been a sporadic blogger in the past (check out my old blog here) so I thought, eh why not share this clumsy new role I've taken on! I didn't intend on becoming a consultant, it just sort of happened. I fell in love with the products and have always been one to share awesome finds with friends and family.  I am still new to the Norwex thing and find that most people are not sure how to react to my crazy new obsession over cleaning products. Now that I have my Norwex products,  I have developed a thing for tough cleaning jobs. When someone shares how frustrated they are after trying to clean a certain something in their home I get excited because I know  that I have the solution. For example, my friends sink has looked like this for years, hard water in AZ is just par for the course, or so I thought before I was introduced to Norwex. Once I started using the cleaning products I couldn't wait to get my hands on her sink. Which is something I've never said before, and would be weird if I had. Anyways when I see a mess like this I love it because, it's when Norwex shines the most! I heroicly spin , turn into the Norwex Wonder Woman and save the day! Get back hard water build up, you're not gonna terrorize this family's kitchen sink anymore!!!
